I'm writing this firstly because I believe like many of fans that this beta and others things are unfair. So PS users got an Alpha and that should have been enough, but to prevent Xbox users getting their fair share is just alienating us. I think the best thing to do instead of complain is to speak out and ask for this to be amended. So I've started a poll to ask what you guys would like to fix this. I personally think extending the Beta to be the same length as the PS users but extending post 26th, so they get their exclusive early access. There are other issues including DLC that contains more things for the PS than the Xbox, which will be charged at the same price on all platforms. Again this is equally unfair and one sided. To those PS user who will no doubt mock this post, please read carefully that I haven't mocked you and all I want is some form of active fair user policy for all of us.
Please vote honestly and post your concerns, but please be constructive and help your fellow gamers.
Also thanks to Darth Turelim for point out, that it would be really helpful if everyone who votes posts a comment to that effect. Please also share this out and maybe we can get something changed.
Thanks

Why can people not add the I don't care option to all of these posts.
-
Bud, it's called exclusivity. Because I'm on ps. I had to wait 3 extra months to get second assault for bf4. Xbox gets halo. Exclusivity. Console exclusivity is a "dreg" (dreg instead of drag;)) anyway, sorry bro. They really shouldn't have it but you've gotta learn to deal with it
-
Please also share this out and maybe we can get something changed.
Well, you really can't - all those benefits to the Playstation side were something Sony forked over a lot of cash to Activision to make happen, and when that kind of thing occurs there are contracts involved. Due to an agreement between Sony and Activision (Activision being responsible for distribuion, and thus getting to make decisions about who gets what when rather than Bunge), it's likely none of your suggestions are in fact legal; a breach of contract lawsuit would almost certainly be filed and won.
-
Sorry mate, this post won't change anything. They've got everything sorted out, and some unhappy people on the internet won't change their plan. It's not about what's right and what's wrong, it's just buisness. They're companies trying to make money.
-
Just do what I did and buy both a ps4 and a xbox one
-
None of those options are good, at all. Ending the Beta for PS but extending it for Xbox is just as bad as it starting early for PS, just in the opposite direction. Reducing DLC sucks, and no true gamer worth listening to should ever be encouraging taking content from people. And exclusives on both just mean NOBODY can get the full game. That sucks too.

Edited by mattstudios: 7/27/2014 2:34:36 AMI think every one of us that spent hours of downloading, not including a risk to our consuls to experiment and help Destines success in 2014, get some kind of incentive!
-
Yeah, it feels weird having Bungie go from making an Xbox exclusive to showing favoritism for Sony consoles, but if I really cared that much, I'd buy a PS4
-
I think that you getting bent out of shape over decisions that were purely business and financial as if they were some sort of personal affront to a group of consumers is not a productive conversation to be having. Nothing needs fixing except your attitude and sense of entitlement.

To put this into a way you sony guys can understand. Pretend it was naughty dawg who left sony, signed with activision to market a game that they had been developing while still with sony and your money was paying for, and then xbox got content that was exclusive for a YEAR, rather than the few weeks or months that is customary for most timed exclusive content for COD or BF

Edited by Malfeitor: 7/27/2014 2:00:31 AMThere has been many games in the past where PlayStation3 users were dished the same plate. We didn't like it, but we sucked it up because in the end you don't have a choice. I don't appreciate the PS users rubbing it in. But I also think the whiners need to man up. Just be grateful you don't have to deal with the Mass Effect scenario PS3 users had to deal with.
-
I think both consoles should get equal beta time but at this point it's too late for that. Also, while yes, ps users have gotten the short end of the stick for the past few years, what bungie is doing is a little bit to much in my opinion.
-
1. The expansion packs are the same for both consoles 2. Sony paid for both exclusive alpha and beta privileges as well as the bonus DLC that comes with the game. Bungie is not going to give X1 players the same privileges for free. I don't see how that's difficult to understand
-
You know if Bungie were to extend xbox privileges without sony's consent they'd get sued in violation of their contract right
-
This is why I hate xbox. PS users just get sad when Xbox gets something but you xbox turds get straight up butthurt when playstation gets something and you dont. Microsoft fanboys.
-
Playstation users had to stand at the end of the line for 8 years, suck it up and deal with the changes in circumstance. Xbox was spoiled for 8 years.
-
Do nothing. Everything is how it should be. Sony paid to get exclusive content for the next ten years. It would be unfair if M$ got exclusive treatment without paying.

I said this in another thread the other day... 1. Quit crying. 2. Look around and think for a second. What does Bungie do? What does Activision do? What do DICE Respawn do? What does Electronic Arts do? What does Infinity Ward/Treyarch/and now Sledgehammer Games do? There are publishers and there are developers. One makes the game. The other funds the game. 3. Is there any other franchise made by any of those people do something similar? Finally just get over it or get a PS4. I own all three of the major consoles. Why would I not as a gamer? I don't want to miss any awesome game.
-
The way I see it just get a ps4 if you like ps4 stuff more. Being an Xbox fan is like saying you only like dogs that came from pet shops but you hate dogs that came from shelters why not love all dogs and love video games in general instead of sticking with a certain product line.
-
I agree it is totally unfair for Xbox users
-
I second extending the beta, mainly for two reasons. 1) I don't have a ps4 due to me buying the Destiny PS4 😁😁😁😁 2) I'm sensing some kind of hostility towards Microsoft and bungie, which is fine by all means, but really if the hostility is towards them why also direct that towards the player base of that company as well? It just leaves a bad feeling with people that have supported their games so much on Microsofts systems. Am I wrong?? Idk but I do know that the time that I have spent (maybe 6 hours due to work schedule, missed the moon 😧😧) has been extremely wonderful, it's a great game, not perfect but I hope this big of a beta testing fixes some issues.
-
Wow people are really upset about a beta. What else can you possibly do?
-
Get a PS4
-
Get a ps4 or go play halo
-
I am surprised to see a 50% to extend the beta. I would rather have something for the actual game.
-
How about Call of duty dlc? You guys have it a month earlier than us!
