Solutions for the future of Destiny's Xbox fans
I'm writing this firstly because I believe like many of fans that this beta and others things are unfair. So PS users got an Alpha and that should have been enough, but to prevent Xbox users getting their fair share is just alienating us. I think the best thing to do instead of complain is to speak out and ask for this to be amended. So I've started a poll to ask what you guys would like to fix this. I personally think extending the Beta to be the same length as the PS users but extending post 26th, so they get their exclusive early access. There are other issues including DLC that contains more things for the PS than the Xbox, which will be charged at the same price on all platforms. Again this is equally unfair and one sided. To those PS user who will no doubt mock this post, please read carefully that I haven't mocked you and all I want is some form of active fair user policy for all of us.
Please vote honestly and post your concerns, but please be constructive and help your fellow gamers.
Also thanks to Darth Turelim for point out, that it would be really helpful if everyone who votes posts a comment to that effect. Please also share this out and maybe we can get something changed.

9 RepliesLol when people bring up call of duty's timed exclusive with xbox, im left there thinking "This is blamming Destiny, you really can't see why this would seem more important to people than the game that only relies on the same pvp formula?" I dont care about the timed exclusives, but that CoD point that's brought up often is weak

As a Xbox player, I personally DON'T CARE about who gets what first, big deal PS players gets more exclusive content first.. Just play the game and stop crying about it.

And if it makes you feel any better, I have loved that extra long beta play on ps4. It's been delicious.

2 RepliesWait I could care less about waiting for dlc honestly, xbox gets it first usually always nowadays and im an xbox player. But I dont mind ps gets it first, what I want to know is reduced dlc? What does that mean exactly? Will xbox player recieve less for the same price? That doesnt sound okay to me. Can anyone validate or help out?

Just play the game. Doesnt matter which console you play on you will still be getting the full game. DLC are just optional extras and that will go to xbox eventually anyway as the content is only a timed exclusive.

Being an Xbox fan since I got an Xbox for my birthday/christmas can't remember its been so long, with combat evolved I've loved Halo but with Microsoft wanting to bend me over a barrel with their 'one' reveal I knew it was time to move over to PS. I made the right choice it seems. But yes keep crying its TIMED DLC ffs, PlayStation fans didn't get Halo but you're going to cry over dlc you're going to get eventually? damn I'm glad I got a PS4.

Xbox one/360 are gjetting less for the same prise, lover the prise.... Im on xbone, and i normaly dont Mind ps exlusive stuff, gameS,dlc . only for ps/pc/Wii and so on, but for the same prise i want the same ....

Xbox players have still had enough time for bungie to test. The extras are part of the deal between Sony and bungie. It happens all the time with games, sometimes it goes microsofts way and other times sony. Just be happy with what you get and enjoy the game, not as if we are playing together on the same server

I feel that I got hoodwinked by GameStop! Preorder and get beta access. Nope everyone got bata access. It would be nice to get more game play, but there is always crapy COD. This game will be out soon and when it is I'll be playing.

I'm tired of hearing PS users bring up Destiny. Every console has it's exclusives, and that's in the past. This is a new franchise. Stop bringing the past up. As for fellow Xbox players, stop complaining about the exclusive content. One week after the game comes out you will never notice you are missing content. Also the Beta does not have that much content, we don't need it extended. Would it be nice? Yes, necessary, no.

Just think of this as Bungie's way of making it up to the ps community for our lack of halo. But even as a ps guy I think it is unfair to the Xbox community to go this far. The Xbox community does deserve some form of compensation for the 3 days beta delay and one year DLC delay.

You gotta realize Activision wanted to please their Playstation fans too, so with Microsoft they have COD and Sony they have Destiny. Also, you Xbox People have had Halo, and this is Playstations first Bungie Game. I'm not trying to take sides but just people should understand why not whine and complain, I mean who gives a single crap about Timed exclusives.

As for people wanting the beta extended, it won't do much for us being that we'll be stuck at level 8 for one more week and the two hour events of Iron Banner and possible Lunar explorations. I'd prefer to just chop my arm off than wait for a steam roller to crush it. I feel the same way about the beta. I'd rather it be over sooner than be dragged out even though I'll miss it either way. The date 9/9/14 grows closer anyways if it lasts another week or not. If the content would be shared, that'd be nice but I don't really care all that much. We won't see their content played against us. As for the dlc, my preorder includes the two expansion passes (Of course I went and got a limited edition. I'm planning to be a die hard.) I can't really give much feedback, but if there would be equal content just prolonged for Xbox, I'd see that as fair. As for the arguments of "exclusive" games and such. I don't know much about a complete list of exclusives, but I do know Halo is thrown around quite a bit. Titanfall as well but that fell through. It's cool but not all that impressive. As for Sony exclusives: Uncharted, Last of Us, most video game spin offs of Anime televisions shows, Journey, and Little Big Planet. Each console has their exclusives so no one should be arguing over this fact. You bought the console you have (or asked for it) so you should have known what you were getting into with console exclusives at the time they were released. Just focus on what will better your experience and not put down or rile up another's. It serves no good and it's probably why society is as violent as it is right now. People just argue over every little detail in life and don't focus on the main goals.
