So yesterday was indeed bungie day and I was so distracted by the Destiny announcements that I forgot it was also my 2 year anniversary with my wife. Luckily she's cool so it was all good (phew).

While it does seem somewhat favoring towards the playstation new comers and that we xbox owners do have a very limited beta experience, I cant help but feel that people are getting far too worked up about this. Ive just preordered the ghost edition for my xb1 because throughout bungies halo legacy, I spent so many hours invested into their games and their website. I love the attention bungie give towards making a great game and Ive always been there looking up for all of the game news. I dont feel screwed over by the way bungie has dealt with branching out to sony. Theyve maybe pushed on xbox users a little much, but theyre creating a game universe intended for the next decade and they need to solidify multiplatform support in the early days. I hope for the future to be more balanced between chosen platforms, but as of right now, Im okay with playstation having a little more love, they have it coming, theyve missed out on so much bungie that its kinda sad almost. You are an amazing company Bungie, don't let the few sore losers bring you down. We're all winners here.

Yeah happy bungie day... but i don't feel happy for some reason, not the bungie day as i expected. Grateful for the beta info and Collection edition anyway.

Bungie I was happy to see the limited edition come out today. Thought the wife would freak if I told her i wanted to get the ghost edition. Figured best to get limited. She actually thought the ghost was cool and asked why I did not want it. Being married is so awesome. So looking forward to the beta. I will be playing on the Xbox one. I have been watching alpha footage and reading every scrap of info I have found. Thanks for all the hard work you have put into this new world. Love all the stuff you guys are letting us see about the game.

4 RepliesI remember when halo 3 was out and 3 of my closest friends and I were trying to get that achievement when you beat the last level with all skulls and ride of ghosts. We spend HOURS trying to finish it, but we finally did. Later that month I bought a 3 month card because I had multiple 1 month gold accounts....so long story short somewhere in Xbox space is an old account of mines with my prized achievement that i will never get back. But at least i still have the memories. Happy Bungie day

1 ReplyI love how all of the Xbox people are bashing Bungie, you guys only have to wait an extra week for Beta access, get over it! We PlayStation players have waited years for a Bungie game to come to our console and now that is finally happening we are grateful for the chance to become part of the community. If you are turning your back on Bungie over a very small delay in getting Beta access then I don't think you are a true fan. Happy Bungie Day to all of the actual Bungie fans from Ireland!

Thanks for everything, Bungie. I personally spent some time playing Halo 3 on yellow bars (one day us Aussies will dominate host!). I'm just excited to fire up my Xbox One, I only really bought it for Destiny. With my horrible timezone Bungie Day was over for me before it started, nevertheless it was good as always. Something tells me next years will be bigger!

I can not thank you enough for the wondrous games you have created that have had me glued to the couch cushion on midnight releases playing all through the night until I finished the game. Then waking up again and really taking my time to go through it again searching for Easter eggs and skulls and honestly just enjoying your masterful storytelling. I have enjoyed just standing and looking at the intricate environments and basking in the music that infusing the game and stirs the emotions. I know many of the community are hurt by choices made but know that there are those of us that are here to support you. We believe in you and know that you create games because you want a game that endures, that people will enjoy and talk about for years to come and that people will play over and over again. I know that that takes money. It's okay. I just want to thank you for all you've created and I look forward to playing Destiny. I believe in you Bungie. I believe in Destiny. Thank you for all your efforts. There are those of us who truly appreciate all you do and are willing to see the light instead of wallowing in the darkness.

Unfortunately, I'm getting this comment in quite late on Bungie Day, but nonetheless, I hope those that read it will take something positive away with them. I won't pretend to be a "power user". I won't pretend that I've been frequenting bungie.net for longer than a few days. I've only just stumbled upon what seems to be the greatest developer/community relationship in the industry. It's not that I've never played Bungie games. Halo remains as one of my favorite franchises of all time. I just never got super involved online or in a clan. At any rate, there is one revelation about which I need not pretend, and that is... My love of Destiny. Not that I'm shocking anyone with this confession, but I truly have fallen in love with your new masterpiece, Bungie. I only wish that I had time to write the essay that would prevail justice unto my thoughts and feelings regarding the matter. It's 11:59pm central time, though. Let me know if you want to hear more. Having to wait for something when someone else gets it is no fun, especially when some people rub it in your face for no good reason. To those in the Xbox community that feels that Bungie owes you something: Bungie's exclusivity on the Xbox is a thing of the past. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Relax. Remember, we ALL get to play for real on September 9th. To my fellows in the PS community: Don't grief Xbox players, it serves no purpose and makes you a jerk. In short, abide by Wheaton's law. 5 RepliesIs it just me, or is the beta WAY to short? I don't care that PlayStation gets a few extra days, but what are they going to learn from a week of beta? Now maybe this is just me not having played enough betas, but I thought they would've given us at least a few weeks, considering that is the only thing they advertised "Pre- order to receive Beta access". That doesn't sound like it would just be a few days to me...

I'M SO EXCITED FOR DESTINY!!!! I'm getting it for xbox one and i am so freaking yolked. WARLOCK FOR LIFE! Im so happy! this is my first real step into bungie. My first halo game was unfortunetly halo 4, but once halo 3 was free with gold, I had so much fun. Whatever you do Bungie, just remember their are still xbox players who aren't shitting on you for the choices you make, and thanks for making a great game for us! I will be getting my limited edition copy of destiny once it comes out. You are the best!
