It's been stated that they are promoting a 'horizontal' model of leveling. We'll hit the cap rather low then grow our Guardians via gear and abilities.

And there have been multiple [u]recent [/u] screenshots and videos that have shown enemies/guardians above level 20. Every RPG has horizontal growth. Doesn't excuse having a low level cap.

I wasn't affirming a level 20 cap. My assumption would be 50-60, more along the lines of what Blizzard did with WoW. But it doesn't seem like a verticality is going to mean much beyond level requirements for gear and weapons. Hitting the cap seems secondary in development.

Leveling up has never meant much rather than the developers being able to give you the necessary amount of story content etc to burn through before hitting cap. Then you start the gear grind.

I think they can still progress the story after we cap out. I kinda like the idea of it honestly, I'm sure 7/7 will reveal what we're looking for.
