I vote no to check points. Bungie wanted this to be hard, they wanted to challenge their players and people are already begging to make it easier. I see so many people complaining about how because of the fact they have a "life" they can't do a raid that takes "16 hours" because they're always busy. I work a full time job, I have yard work to do, I have cats to take care of, and a girlfriend, and what some of you would call a life. When it comes to planning something like a 16 hour raid, you set a date you're free on with your friends that works best for all of you. A raid like this isn't meant to be cleared every day. It's not something you have to rush into.

  • My problem here comes from the unexpected. It sounds like you don't have kids, so that part doesn't factor in for you. My vote is for checkpoints. However, if you put together a fireteam and get the raid done straight through, you get better end gear, and maybe an emblem or something showing your achievement. I can block 4 or 5 hours at a time for a video game, but 16 would just be impossible in my situation. Should that preclude me from enjoying the raid? I don't think it should. I am sure I could find 5 other players that would go for that as well. Should we be totally cut off from that part of the game? At the same time, those that can do it all the way in one sit-down session should be rewarded for that commitment. That way, everybody wins.

  • You are correct. Some people can't make time each day but they can reserve time.
