If Bungie had made Reach like it's novel equivalent, I wouldn't be saying Fall of Reach game right now.
Seeing some of those moments from the novel, or snapshots of them from a gameplay perspective would be amazing. Xbox Juan is out now. Get to it somebody!
And for people that say the novels don't have enough content to make a game out of, how about this? You make the weirdest Halo yet. By weird, I mean you take all the novels to date, and cram them into one game. A collection of stories from different perspectives in time, from different people. Spartans, Forerunners, Marines, Elites, and so on. A collection of the best moments from all the novels rolled up into short mini-campaigns and dropped into a big package.
Not only would it help people who don't really know the backstory of the games so much, but it would really give 343 a chance to truly spice things up in the campaign with completely different playstyles, atmospheres, tones, and narratives all rolled into one sweet package.
If they did this, alongside the MCC at a later date, I could die a happy man.

Not a bad idea. It'll show the illiterate-by-choice more of Halo's lore, and the rest of us can finally see a representation of these events that isn't a comic or something.
