Playing Halo for years and having all nights with it has molded me and many other Halo players (if you were actually good at it) into the ultimate Guardians of the Crucible. Playing the Alpha brought me back to halo days, crouching puts you off radar, vehicles are strong yet bearable, snipers are two hit K.O., and best of all it's the multiplayer that changed games forever. I found my self never getting under 15 kills and playing the objective to the max. If you played Halo and were a beast at it consider the Crucible yours. Yeah you aim down slights but trust me this game is amazing and totally new. EDIT (THE LINK WORKS NOW)

I think the Crucible will cater to lovers of many shooters. We'll find out. Won't we?

I was pretty good at Halo 5-10 years ago. A lot of my FPS skill has escaped me. Still a blast to play though.

Edited by MysticJon: 6/19/2014 8:01:17 PMNot to sound like an ass here, but the average age of an Xbox player is lower than that of the average age of a Playstation player. What does that mean? More kids and teens play on Xbox than on Playstation and kids and teens have more time to waste playing games than adults do. So yea, it makes sense that they would perform better in PvP than a guy who just plays for a few hours here and there before or after work. Kids are also more likely to jump on the bandwagon of the new hot thing, so to speak. So as the PS4 is performing better then the Xbox One, there were probably a lot of younger 360 players that bought a PS4 just to jump onto the bandwagon and yea, they'll probably perform better in the Crucible then the adults that have less time to play. Nothing really surprising here...

I believe the bravest guardians will rule the crucible.
-
If the Crucible plays out as Halo Reach, then maybe I'll dominate but to me, it feels sorta like Halo 4 but much better xD
-
Its a moot point really because its not a cross-platform gameplay game. And since probably most Halo players will be on the XBOX1 there won't be much of Halo "expertise" running around on the PS3/4 to compare with non-Halo players.
-
Yea the alpha really brought back memories. Found my basic style as halo player to fair much better than my cod friends did
-
Gameplay was more like cod than halo IMO.
-
I came up against a lot of Halo players in the Crucible, and I did terrible, terrible things to them. I have never played Halo myself (PS fanboy since PS1) but I appreciate the similarities, the combat is overall very very easy to get the pace of (maybe for me, I cant speak for others) and adapting to the always on the move run and gun style was very easy to pick up and very fresh. Perhaps my style coming from other games rather than Halo gave me an edge in making tactical decisions on where to hit and who to hit
-
And like halo (or any fps) if you only play with randoms.
-
Sorry but Super Mario players will have the advantage.
-
This is good news,I was wondering if Destiny feel like Halo but i think this answers it :D

Edited by kingofservants: 6/20/2014 1:43:02 AMNo skill in halo

Keep telling yourself that buddy...
-
Pretty much......
-
I hope so mainly because I had a 360 and got a ps4 I played halo all the time
-
Im not sure all former halo players will dominate ranked PVP. I mean I played halo casually and I still top the charts. I think people with good Eye- Hand coordination and are FPS veterans will dominate. I havent played the alpha, waiting till beta to be more refined, but I think once beta hits youll see just how many people are good without playing halo hardcore. Also helps when youre super competitive, years of FPSing history. and top all the charts in every game you play...
-
True, that's why I won't play it, my friends wouldn't want to playa if I ace them.
-
wat class u gun be
-
I agree, never got under 17. Although I played Halo a bit (not as much as some), I can see how there are a lot of similarities.
-
Former Halo players will dominate the Crucible... while everyone else doesn't give a shit.
