on a related note, there are 2 books on amazon (release date : november) : [i]The art of Destiny[/i] and [i]Destiny hardcover blank cover[/i]. These are artbooks, so no novels but still quite interesting (I love videogame artbooks) note : the Ghost and limited edition have also some booklets, mainly featuring weapons, arts ,etc ...

Since this is such a new IP, I'm not so certain we'll be seeing this for a while yet, but I would definitely be interested in the addition of a novel/series/story compilation to go along with the game. Think about it: along with any Sci-Fi release (movie, game, tv series, etc) come so many questions that couldn't possibly be answered within the scope of the media. Whether it's such a small detail or whether it would just be awkward for a character to break out into what happened thousands of years ago, (which, inside the game world, everyone already knows and is commonplace) expanding on each of these little details could give a writer a lifetime of material to devote themselves to. Hopefully we see some high-quality extra media come of this!

Same here. I love fantasy and magic, but my real love is for sci-fi. Pair sci-fi up with space magic and mystery? I'm totally sold! If Bungie doesn't take advantage of the amazing lore and generate some novels or at LEAST a hardcover grimoire with comprehensive story compositions, it would be such a waste and missed opportunity.
