So many XBox and Halo fanboys in here :') haha.
Pull your heads out of your arses please. Sony had the better conference even if you choose to be ignorant. Just wait until the critics and reviewers write up their reports.
All this blowing about "OMG MC Collection!" is starting to look pathetic because its really the only thing worth having an xbox for.
Playstation are catering for everyone, hardcore to casuals and have the support and preference of every games company behind them. Just trade in your Xbox for a PlayStation quickly before you have to choose a Platform for your BETA key.

I understand that everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I respect yours. However, this is my opinion (which is biased towards the type of gamer I am). After watching both the MS and Sony press conferences, I decided not to buy the PS4. I wanted to wait until after the E3 press releases before I made my purchase, and I was more impressed with Microsoft. Microsoft showed me what I wanted to see at E3: awesome video games (plural...so not limited to the MC Collection). Yes, Sony showed some awesome games off this year, but they also had a lot of content that I didn't care about. I agree with your comment that PlayStation is catering to everyone. But personally, I'm a hardcore gamer, and I'm buying a console to play great games on. I'm not using it for movies, tv, social media, and hopefully never for VR, so I wasn't as impressed with the Sony briefing as I was with the MS briefing. Microsoft showed more games that I am excited for than Sony did, and overall I was more impressed with MS. So, I'm buying an Xbox One.

If you're a hardcore gamer than ps4 or PC is the way to go. The xbox started of blowing all that smoke about shit you said you didn't want.

I agree that PC is a better way to go for a hardcore gamer, and after I finish grad school, I'm planning on building my own PC that I can use for both gaming and work. However, I still don't think that a PS4 is a better option than an Xbox One.

Saying "it is" isn't an argument. It is an opinion. If you have an argument to make about PS4's superiority over Xbox One, make it. I'm not an Xbox or Playstation fanboy. I've owned every PlayStation and Xbox console prior to the newest generation, so I'm open to an actual debate on the topic. MS focused on what it needed to this year at E3: games. Both PS4 and Xbox One have been out for 6+ months, so it was time for each company to focus on the great next gen games that will be available for the consoles later this year and earlier next year. MS focused more on games, but PlayStation focused too much on extra hardware, PlayStation Plus, and the PSN, which didn't impress me. MS focused on the great next gen games that will be available for Xbox One, and I'm more excited about the games MS showed in the briefing than the games Sony showed; therefore, I'm buying an Xbox One because I think I will enjoy the content better than Sony's.

Don't focused just as much time on better games as Microsoft did. They just had a longer press conference so they could focus there extra time on all that extra stuff. If you bought into the "we've pretty much run out of projects so here's some old remade games" that Microsoft was selling you're a moron.

Halo is dead? How so? The legacy of Halo lives on in the forum that you are currently posting in. Without Halo, none of this would exist. This forum wouldn't exist. Therefore this thread and all of these responses wouldn't exist. I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) that since you have a bungie account and now a PS4, you will be playing Destiny. Destiny doesn't exist without the success of Halo. Halo will live on as long as bungie continues to make great games because Halo is a part of bungie's legacy. Halo is dead.
