KoTOR: Did any of you manage to beat the game with blasters?
Right now out of all the times I played the game this is the first time I'm truly using them. Before I only used a blaster rifle until I got to the bridge of the Endar Spire and had to use a sword. After that it was a double bladed sword and finally mah lightsaber. Now I'm rocking duel Starkiller blaster pistols like a boss. I was wondering if any of you did because after Taris to me they seem to be useless because of other Jedi. Dantooine has Juhani, Tatooine has 3 dark Jedi, Manaan has some, there's Darth Bandon, there's the sith flagship that has a few, Korriban has many dark Jedi you can kill and both masters, the final planet has many dark Jedi in the temple and the Star Forge is filled with them.

I reached the Jedi temple and my Xbox burnt. Never played KOTOR ever since and ive been dying to. Once I get my laptop, first game I'm getting is KOTOR on Steam. Can't wait.

1 ReplyNever felt compelled to do a blaster run. I imagine after a while it'd prove a challenge. Sequel had some stealth skills that'd probably lend to an easier and more enjoyable run.

6 RepliesI must have played through this game two or three times... and every time, I went dual lightsabers and spammed Flurry the whole game. Heard blasters was a lot tougher, and it never seemed appealing to me because I'd rather spend my precious feats on lightsaber-related stuff but maybe I could try it again with guns...

Nah. I always instantly dropped them for melee weapons lol.

1 ReplyI only ever played with blasters. I did not know that was harder. Well, I used them until the final boss. At which point since I had no force powers, no melee weapon, and he deflected every shot.. I will admit I modded it to give me a sword. Because I swear it is literally impossible to win otherwise. I can't destroy those healing tanks with blasters so I had no choice. :(
