The american revolution should have never happened

If you had just gave up your guns. It's because of gun owners selfishness that those British soldiers died, it's YOUR fault, their blood is on YOUR hands.

  • Why would you put a scope on a smoothbore with an effective range of 50 meters?

    • Hunting muskets were actually pretty accurate. Generally only used by irregulars due to slow loading time even for a musket. The whole myth of in-accuracy of muskets also has been perpetrated for too long as well. What made muskets so 'inaccurate' was down to the shot used. Many times the shot was smaller than the barrel, so it would bounce around as it flew down the barrel. Properly sized shot would not do this. Even the venerable old Brown Bess could accurately hit targets at 200 yards if need be. By the late 1700's and early 1800's gun making had come a long way from Arquebusiers of the 1500's. We were starting to see rifling of some bores, and pretty damn accurate guns.
