"Offtopite" has never carried any negative meaning, either explicit or implied. You spent the entire sub-thread with Burrito back-peddling, going from "We didn't agree on Offtopite," as if: a.) any one asked, or b.) any one was interested in asking, to "What if I find it offensive?" and wrapping up your brief gab with "You're calling us something we're not. And that's offending." I will first address that that is certainly not offensive, and no amount of asserting such erroneous claims is going to make it any truer, which is something I was hoping you would come to the conclusion of yourself when I presented you that link, but you didn't. Instead you parroted a colloquial response to suggest that you were laughing, trying to degrade, derail, or frustrate an argument that you are unable to support or sustain but instead are attempting to force into existence through repetition, non-sequiter and diminutive responses, and just plain poor debate. So ultimately I am not going to sit here and jump through imaginary conversation hoops that you haphazardly decide to erect, trying to wear out my patience so when I do inevitably get tired of treating your false or insubstantial replies as having merit you can, I surmise, convince yourself that you have claimed victory of a discourse. I am not convinced you are offended, I am not convinced that your original analogy has self-worth, that that is the end of the discussion.

The 7th column is something a majority of the community agrees on though. Offtopites is not. It is refuted by a majority of the community. And by your logic, that would make you and other offtopites 5 year olds.

Uh... how do you think words catch on? By people using them. So by your logic, everybody here when the site was founded is five. Furhermore, you are ignoring the entire point of the thread. I did not call them children for using a term not many people use. The entire point of the thread is that they are attacking people. They are acting like children for attacking people. So no, by my logic Offtopites are not '5.' You just are not showing reading comprehension, and being rude about it.

Anyways, I am clearly talkig only about those people, whereas saying '#density' attacks every last person. At this point you are looking for things to be offended by, not actually being offended by things And saying you find offtopite offensive is something I consider the height of idiocy and I will not humor stupidity of that nature. So feel free to claim it and end the conversation, but I would not consider that a very progressive dialogue.

As a person who has been criticized in his line of work for being too wordy and has been trying to make an effort to be more concise in my job... I can say I feel like this was a big step today. Liberating.
