Have You Seen Any Small Details From Infosplosion Worthy of Discussion?

With the huge amount of new info/articles/interviews and videos released in the wake of the infosplosion last week, there is going to be interesting stuff that could slip through the cracks. Is there anything you would like to hear discussed here or on the next guardian radio show that you haven't seen picked up on much elsewhere. I'm most buzzed about the story side of things and exploring in Patrol mode to try to find out more about the world so when I read the next quote from [url=http://www.gamereactor.eu/articles/120114/Embracing+Destiny%3A+Hands-On+with+Bungie%27s+Shared+World+Shooter/?page=2]under the screenshot of the sparrow in this gamereactor article[/url] I thought it was one of the few facts I hadn't seen repeated elsewhere and was ripe for discussion : - [quote] This fist-sized machine will ping out a beacon that'll mark your fireteam and objective locations, as well as hacking machines found around the world. [b]You'll also pick up deactivated Ghosts hidden in locations (the purpose of which is a secret for now)[/b][/quote] Where are these ghosts from, are they all that remains of guardians recently killed or could they be ghosts from the golden age that will tell a story from that time? Do you think that collectibles like this will be the only way Bungie will tell extra story outside of the campaign like the did with Terminals in Halo or will we get the dark souls/journey/shadow of the colossus style approach of incidental storytelling that they seem to be promising.

  • There are a couple of points... What I heard from Ashley Jenkins at Rooster Teeth, during the strike they found a "dozen" closed branches leading off to other areas that were closed for the purpose of the press preview. That sounds awesome, this strongly suggests even Strikes will not be as linear as we might have been lead to believe. Also, what is 'locking in'? It was mentioned by Tyson Green multiple times, but not explained at all. Apparently it can cause your Guardian to have an all-around stat bonus but what do you sacrifice for the extra boost?

Then again, they could be repositiories of information vital to your Campaign, left behind by those fallen Guardians that came before. Also, I think that the "SUPER CHARGE" bar represents a communal bank of Super cooldown-refreshes usable by you and your fireteam, building up (X2, X3, etc) until one of you pops a Super, at which point it's instantly refreshed from this bank until depleted. Once this occurs, your Super's cooldown kicks in until you and your team must refill the bar by collecting Orbs, at which point the Super's cooldown will be instantly refreshed once again...

    • This isn't really anything about the infoplosion, but has the game rating come out? I vaguely remember it was rated M for one of the early trailers but wasn't sure if that was still the deal.

        • Really wish I had a source for you guys, but I'm fairly sure I heard in a video interview alluding to "storing" things in the tower...maybe a public weapons bank or something?

          • The eurogamer preview was the only one i saw talking about how PVP is unlocked later in the game pvp is really the most mysterious part of the game to me

            I haven't seen very many people, if anyone at all, talk about "The Reef" location being a confirmed playable area for release. This is the first time I've even seen it mentioned since one of the first ViDocs for Destiny (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kJkiwDeWqQ). There is a scene in that ViDoc where a hunter is walking and the background is a purple backdrop with floating debris. That clip is what made me fall in love with Destiny and it's good to see mentioned again.
