Note: The hover bike you're referring to is officially called a "Sparrow". And you can get an upgraded and red variant of it if you preorder from Gamestop!
EDIT: Apparently "Sparrow" is just an outdated name for the "Shrike". If so, disregard this comment, they're the same thing.
Edited by Polecat: 5/2/2014 10:21:08 PMAll of the 'bikes' are Sparrows. The Shrike is a type of sparrow. Check the letter identifier seen on the picture of a red titan on a bike, it says 'SPA RW'.
-
Also the pike is a bike that isn't of human make, so it probably wouldn't be considered a sparrow under this theory.
-
Correct. Well done.
-
Ok, I wasn't sure if you were just talking about human bikes, or all bikes.
-
No problem, guess I wasn't all that precise in my answer.
-
-
Very interesting! I may have been right after all! :D
-
I will believe it when I see it.
-
Follow her leg down past her knee and down a bit. Read 'SPA RW' http://www.destructoid.com/destiny-s-combat-is-solid-but-i-m-not-so-sure-about-the-rest-of-it-273692.phtml?nav=mobile&mode=mobile
-
I see, but couldn't just as easily show that that was the old name for it?
-
It was confirmed in one of the interviews, but I can't remember where. So believe me or not. Sorry can't give you any more, I tried.
-
Ok, I have listened to most of them, but I will trust you here. HOWEVER if your wrong I will get my vengeance.
-
There's a Shrike in Destiny, and apparently something called a "Sparrow." We don't know whether these are different vehicles or whether they're the same and Gamestop is calling it by an outdated name. They look the same, but there seems little doubt that there is a vehicle in Destiny called a "Shrike."
-
I was thinking that a fully upgraded shrike could be called a sparrow, to differentiate you from other players, and to make it easy to tell how good another players vehicle is.
-
I see. I had no doubt the Shrike existed, I just thought the Sparrow existed as well. But it seems to be just the outdated name for the skrike...
-
Well, if you think about it, the Arcus Regime is a kind of Auto Rifle, and Thunderlord is a kind of Heavy Machinegun. So maybe "Shrike" is a kind of "Sparrow"? Or vice versa?
-
Yeah, vice versa seems possible.
-
Edited by ArchAngel: 4/29/2014 10:53:09 PMIt's official called shrike
-
Check my updated link.
-
I know they had that video already made before they changed the name buddy. I don't know why they didn't change the video.
-
I see. I wasn't aware Bungie would let such a flaw into the world without atleast addressing it. D:
-
LOL old news bro.
-
Edited by Noble: 4/29/2014 10:59:59 PMThankyou for pointing that out. But the fact that you left it out of your original post suggests you didn't even know its existence.
EDIT: And I wouldn't exactly call it old news seeing as it was only announced yesterday.
-
Why would I mention a vehicle skin when I am talking about vehicle types? And you don't need to spend much time on the forum to find stuff out like that (hence: old news) , I saw it on MoreConsole's channel yesterday.

Edited by Noble: 4/29/2014 11:31:07 PMMe toooo :D And I figured the Sparrow was it's own type of land vehicle, but it's just a variant of the shrike.
