How many monsters are supposed to be in the movie besides Godzilla? I thought there were two but in the trailer it just looks like one.

two. the other two are from the same species, but one of them can fly. and, apparently they have an origin rivaling godzilla himself in terms of bada$$ery.

That's pretty cool. Do you think they're based on Rodan and Gigan? Because it kind of looks like it.

they're based on a smorgasbord of toho/giger monsters and real animals, according to gareth. but rodan and gigan seem to be some pretty big influences.
