>The Geth, a race of machines with a collective consciousness, known for their cold, mathematical relentlessness and direct methods
>They finally make communicative contact with the Quarians after years of silent war
>"Uh, hey guys. Look: Shepard, the god-hero of the Universe just convinced us to stop our attacks. This whole thing has literally been a huge misunderstanding, but we forgive you for being scared assholes. We don't want to get slaughtered when we drop our guns, since you guys still hate us, so if we both stop shooting, we'll stop the attacks and back off, and we can talk it out."
>NO IT'S A TRICK BECAUSE THE GETH ARE TOTALLY KNOWN FOR PULLING SNEAKY TRICKS AND NOT JUST STEAMROLLING EVERYTHING DIRECTLY
>KEEP SHOOTING!
They started the war by being scared assholes, and they died by being scared assholes.
Geth replacing the Quarians had better be the canon for the new ME games. I'd much sooner take badass logical robots over paranoid backstabbing space gypsies.

Nah I mean the Geth are cool and all but they're just -blam!-ing robots. I go with the destroy ending every time and the Geth go extinct anyway.
