Hi guys, not sure if this has been talked about on the show but I thought I'd bring it up anyway. Being an avid fan of Bungie's games since Combat Evolved, I've always loved the multi-kill medal system in all their Halo titles. There's something about hearing that familiar voice saying 'DOUBLE KILL' 'TRIPLE KILL' etc that's so satisfying, it really added to the experience in my opinion. Do you think Bungie will use a similar system in Destiny's competitive multiplayer? What would you like to see/hear when you leave multiple guardians sitting in the 'deadbox' as I think they've referred to it as?
Thanks for the great show guys, enjoying it from across the Pond!
P.S. LOVE the Strength of the Pack segment even though information is obviously scarce, more please Byf!

It always gets me pumped up when I hear the announcer say "overkill" It feels like somebody's cheering you on. I hope they do something similar.

I would expect to see something along those lines.

Edited by Yggdrasil: 4/3/2014 8:01:45 PMSince it'll most likely be in an arena, how about a commentator commenting on what's happening in the game? Like when someone picks heavy ammo and stuff they'd say something about it and call out multikills for everyone to hear.

I want it. It would be great if now they had the Dinklight making smart-alak comments about you enemies for killing sprees and when you die he simply says "you ruined it" or for multi kills he'll calmly count "one...two...three...four...five!...SIX?" With increasing excitement, and maybe do a comeback kill he'd go "bout time..."

Are there any patents, trademarks, or other legal limitations that would prohibit Bungie in implementing the Halo-like voice announcement/reward recognition system, which is attached to the Halo franchise now owned by MS/343?
-
I imagine that is completely possible, with it being in an arena you could just pass it off as a kinda announcer in the back ground or maybe even your ghost talking to you "one kill, two kill, three kill, four! Holy crap man!"

Yeah, I liked how medals etc. were handled in Halo. But my question is, if characters (and their colours) are customisable, how are the teams differentiated between in PvP?

I loved the kill chains and streaks in Halo the voice and badges were cool and give me a little buzz when getting them. I think Bungie will put it in Destiny I just hope they don't add to many.

I really do hope that we will see the same if not similar medal system. People don't have time to look at the corner of their screens which is one reason I love hearing him call out "Double Kill" and so on. I'm not sure if we will see this though. I'm afraid that we most likely wont have someone calling out our medals but Bungie has surprised me before!

I think they could incorporate something like that. I personally would like it as well.
