Facebook just bought Oculus Rift for $2 billion

http://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-to-buy-oculus-rift-for-2-billion-2014-3 This is absolutely awful. Dare I say it: VR is dead.

  • In my opinion the real problem - that probably will be forgotten soon - is the transparency of information. I don't want a company which sells any bit of personal data they can get to have Virtual Reality. Trough eye tracking and data records they can easily analyse the user in a deep psychological area - or plain simple guess what you are thinking with frightening precision. The line of actual privacy has long be crossed but this is like crossing the line, stomping on it, then spit on ot, contiued by stomping, throwing it crippled remnants into a furnace in full blast and then enslaving it's soul for all eternity. /conspiracy /rant
