Less than a month later, I log back into this post to in a way, eat my words.
Respawn already has my $60, and I'm quite a few hours in, so already it's better than I first thought. A huge thing TF has going for it is that there really is nothing else out right now. That being said, my second run at this game has shown me TF is like a beautiful, high class lady of the night. Here's why.
1.) Great to look at
2.) A machine in the sack
3.) Doesn't inquire about your past
4.) Easily accessible
5.) Fun to play with
6.) Brings in the money
7.) One trick pony
I logged on last night and made it to character level 2 before I lost interest. The maps are devoid of color and all look the same washed-out hue. The addition of AI bots keeps you from knowing if a character is a real threat or a mindless drone that's almost always a one shot kill. Movement speeds are imbalanced. I repeatedly got stuck on invisible ledges. Even if they polish this game up and iron out the kinks, it seems incredibly one-dimensional and I predict will be a gigantic flop. Feel free to call me a moron or genius.
I HATE Call of Duty with a passion and I love Titanfall. The inclusion of Titans & the jetpacks make the game feel different and fresh, but I guess people have their opinions.
P.S. If anybody calls Titanfall "A COD clone with mechs" I would argue their wrong because in Titanfall (human)players actually die unlike COD.
