Was not a fan. But then again, I've thought Moffat has been doing a terrible job for a long time now. Maybe Moffat will take a new direction with Capaldi. That would be nice. Otherwise I'll likely be done with DW until Moffat finally does the world a favor and takes his hands of the series.

Indeed. Tbh I'm only sticking around for Capaldi. If he turns out to just be Smith 2.0 with even more hand waving I'm dropping it immediately.

I couldn't agree more, I didn't hate Season 5 (I think it's probably Moffat's strongest season out of his three so far) but it was definitely a step down from Davies' seasons. Moffat has only gotten worse off as it has gone on. Season 6 was the lowest point in Moffat's run, primarily because of the whole entire River Song story arc. He just doesn't get the series, even back when he was just an episode writer he didn't quite get it (most of his mistakes and so forth concerning time-travel he made back then as well). Moffat should have stepped down from his role with Matt Smitth, it's time we got some fresh-blood in charge and given the reigns.
