you just vising or living there?
-
I live here.

long time or you an outsider? I hear in Japan even if you live there a long time they never accept you as one of their own (if you aren't born in japan that is) even if you speak the language and know the place. Always wanted to visit Japan. Seems like a cool place.

On and off. I have lived here for a little over half my life. In terms of there xenophobia, it is true they will keep you in the "out" group. This should not be taken as non-acceptance. They will still be kind, polite, and caring, however; they treat you with these traits as if you are a superior not as a friend (Similar to how you would treat your boss), they are also detached when speaking to outsiders. In terms of resentment, that is mainly in the rural areas, most Japanese are used to outsiders in the city centers. Lucky for me, I am active in my social groups and have known those around me long enough that they loosen up with me in comparison to most.

That is cool. Japanese culture has always fascinated me and how they do things. I guess the things I see as weird about them think think are just a weird on how we do things on the other side of the world. It is a shame though people in general have to be sectioned off into their own separate groups and cultures. It would be nice if we lived in a world where there was no racism or culture boundaries that judged people on where they were born or how they look. It's the one thing I will never understand but oh well. Just how the world works I suppose and how some people feel safer being around their own kind I guess.
