You think it'll be what Halo once was (Not Halo 4, which was a terrible cod clone) and play and feel and LOOK like a Halo game? Good as the originals Halo 1,2,3
I'm not sure. 343i messed up big time when they made Halo 4. They have shown that they have become smarter and more likely will make a good and traditional Halo game..but something is telling me they won't. I feel like I know it is going to fail and then there's the other side of me which tries to justify as much as possible that Halo 5 will be good.
I mean in Halo 4 they claimed they were returning to the roots when in reality they made Halo 4 into a generic cod clone which was aimed towards cod fans.COD fans OBVIOUSLY went back to call of duty and the Halo fanbase was left with a game which wasn't what Halo was meant to be. It flopped. 343i ignored and failed almost every single community. Forge to competitive to the machinima commmunity to the custom games community, you name it.
The majority of the fanbase, the majority of the crumbling, little fanbase there is left thinks Halo 4 was a failure.
Anyway:
1-None/really little
2-A little bit
3-Decent
4-Pretty high
5-Really high
I'm choosing 2 but just about. A very weak 2.
EDIT: Damn! I forgot to include a poll again!

I have pretty high hopes for Halo 5. I don't want it to flop like Halo 4 did. I grew up with Halo. If Halo 5 flops, I will never invest my time into a Halo game. So my answer is, 4.
-
Halo 5 will be great
-
It's hilarious how incompetent you are. Halo 4 is tied for the best Halo.
-
Right now I have none. Once we get info on gameplay I'll have a better gauge of what to expect.
-
Am I the only person who admires 343 for going deep into Halo lore? I was surprised as hell to learn the Didact had a main role in H4. I don't think people like it because there wasn't a "war." Then they call people who love Halo 4 casuals.

4. Minimum 3.
-
The Creative Director who did Republic Commando is the C.D for 343i now. That actually gives me hope

Campaign they're only going to continue screwing up just like they are with every addition to the story they make...and they're only going to be even worse since they have Brian Reed as the lead writer/creative control.....so campaign gets a big fat -5. Multiplayer I couldn't really care less about (like with most of the other games in the series), I imagine that the multiplayer will likely be just about as good as Halo 4, worst I'd give the multiplayer is a 3, a 4 is probably most accurate though.

You sure you're forgetting?

Edited by Plain Ben: 12/17/2013 10:08:41 PMMonths after release of 4 they headed in a better direction with multiplayer gametypes. I'm fairly sure Halo 5's multiplayer will be better. But I have no idea how much better, or if it will be worth getting since we barely know anything. Also I'm expecting armor microtransactions.
-
I'm expecting a great campaign, and MP my expectations are low, but they might just surprise us.
-
Campaign 4/5 Multiplayer 3/5
-
A solid 4
-
Campaign: 4 MM: 1 (due to how terrible Reach and H4 were)
-
6. Whether or not 343 can deliver on my expectation is irrelevant. We can all be pessimistic and say that 343 will blow it, but I think everyone at 343 knows that their next Halo project is pivotal to X1's 2014 Holiday sales success. They know that their game needs to be the system-seller. And for one game to sell me onto a $500 box that I really... don't care for, the game needs to be borderline perfection. They have all the resources a game developer could want, they have new hardware, they now have actual experience shipping a product, and lastly they have all the feedback a dedicated fanbase could ever dream to provide (it's amazing that some people are so passionate as to type up mini-novels on how to fix Halo).

I would say 5 - but I'll be damned if 343i didn't learn from H4
-
I'm going to reserve my judgement until it comes out, but after Halo 4, the only real way they COULD go is up.
-
5 - Campaign Multiplayer I don't give a shit about
-
Edited by ZealotSG: 12/16/2013 5:07:03 PM2 Campaign: will be able to sustain a lot more, rendering and such, but I doubt 343i will push it to it's capacity. I doubt there will be any interesting AI innovations. Multiplayer: Compared to Campaign, I have high tolerance for this game mode, although I am getting weary of Halo 4's. It doesn't help that 343i tries to force feed it... There's almost no supported incentive for replaying the Campaign. They haven't done an easter egg unveiling in months, and the absence of Theater mode still tears at me.

Somewhere between 3 and 4. I will say that the Halo 4 campaign was just amazing, especially the music and looking at that skybox when you first walk out into the open from the crash site was just breath-taking. The only complaint I would have about the campaign was the Prometheans did not seem like a huge challenge when you got used to them and also the campaign was a little too short. That being said, I expect the Halo 5 campaign to be a lot longer. The multiplayer is the only thing I have beef with. I do enjoy being able to throw the oddball now, but overall, the multiplayer is lackluster and needs to go back more towards its roots.

4 Whilst H4 is brilliant, especially as a debut, it wasn't flawless, and what flaws it did have were pretty damn obvious. So hopefully 343 can fix those.

at the very least i'm looking forward to a halo game finally running at 60fps, beyond that i have no idea. guess we'll find out soon enough though.
