So, the Xbox One Game DVR is pretty shitty.
You have to manually start clips. You can't just have everything constantly recording.
Your clips can be at most 5 min long.
I'm disappointed that CoD removed theater mode. I will never use the Game DVR to record clips.
I really hope Bungie doesn't rely on the consoles' internal DVRs for recording games in Destiny.
I want a full theater mode that doesn't record what's on screen, but tracks game objects and events like they did in Halo.

Edited by ScottOnSheppey: 12/13/2013 3:25:50 AMItem tracking is great until one flaw: What is the limit? If you can just fly around the map, as a camara, while Exploring, what stops you from just exploring the whole area looking for hidden loot. Black Ops 2 Zombies is a prime example: you would go to an area and when you've died, you would just fly around in theatre mode and find all the pick ups. It ruined it pretty quick. So how would you restrict the theatre mode in Destiny?

It will probably be ingame recording , as I don't believe the 360 has one.

They probably will, and the game DVR is a great thing,

Edited by xX Mick Xx: 12/12/2013 4:20:06 AMThe PS4 share button record the last 15min instantly or taking a pic instantly. Stop whining kid, and buy a ps4 instead. ull be so much more happy with that.

Did you just ask them to not allow something simply because YOU aren't big on it?. Why would you not want other people who may like this to be able to use it?

I'm with you there, to go from Reach/H3's theater where you could change perspectives and free fly around to the map to just a flat image from your video feed would be pretty lame.

You don't have to manually start it at all; it automatically records the last 5 minutes of footage and all you do is say "Xbox, go to game DVR" and select "stop clip" or whatever the actual wording is. Then you save it and can edit later. How is that bad? And five minute clips are really pretty long if you consider it. Most montages are only going to take a few seconds worth of gameplay which even the "Xbox, record that" option will catch. As for longer videos, stick to your Elgato or whatever other game DVR you use. Anyway, as for having a theatre mode, I'm not sure it will really have a place except for in multiplayer matches, which aren't the focus in Destiny, so likelihood is that there won't even be a theatre mode.

I actually hope they do use Console DVR. Not sure about One, but PS4 has been very nice, always recording and getting 15 minutes of last gameplay, or you can start it at any given time. Also the ability to stream games works nice, so yeah I hope they do just rely on consolve DVR at least for PS4 as it works nice.

I'm not really bothered if they include the use of dvr or not I also own an xboxone and leave the dvr to its own devices. I have noticed it records stuff on its own depending on the game being played.
