Remember when Halo didn't copy COD.

Remember back when all fps's had a different touch to each of them, no copying bullshit, no constant rehashes, when FPS's where good. It all sucks now. I really hope COD dies off this gen so we can get originality back in the FPS section of video gaming, seriously. Halo managed to survive (yes even Reach in some cases) but they -blam!-ed up at 4. Someone needs to show 343i this bullshit, someone needs to show 343i any creative fps left out there and tell them, "now that's innovative!". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGSuPZVgxLg -This too! Hell, look at bf4. That's creative. Look at it! COD 4 and MW2 were also innovative although future games weren't nearly as good and every other fps game became a crappy carbon copy of it. Next gen needs to be good! Anyone agree? [b]Oh and can someone actually make this thread on the Halo xbox one forum on waypoint but you know in a more formal, intelligent way. I'm permabanned there on various accounts so yeh.[/b] Halo doesn't need to be a copy of Halo 3 but it needs to be like it with small tweaks which are little but effect the gameplay in a huge way without detracting from the fun and the actual core AND doesn't wreck the balance of the game. E.g Dual wielding, Equipment. Not stuff like AA's which are game breaking and perks. EQUAL STARTS. That is key and ARENA SHOOTER not COD and class based shooters (inb4codnoinventit!). AA's can be balanced if they are found on the map and when you gain them you can use it as much as you want with recharge times but is dropped when you get killed. Shit rant over. Someone please improve on me and post this on waypoint. Halo Xbox One needs to be good! The campaign was pretty good whilst everything else, EVERYTHING was bullshit. UNIQUE, THAT'S WHAT HALO WAS AND SHOULD BE, IT SHOULD BE INNOVATIVE AND THE GAME TO COPY NOT THE GAME THAT COPIES OTHER MAINSTREAM POPULAR GAMES. CAPS! CAPS!

  • Define copy COD? They modernized the franchise by bringing in new features that Call of Duty didn't innovate on. Ordinance is more or less kill streaks but by the definition of a kill streak you have to stay alive. Ordinance can be called in and stolen, and is merely a weapon you can take to use for yourself if you take it from the ordinance caller. Sprint was in Reach and quite frankly isn't nearly as bad as everyone says it is. (Subjective) Loadouts were created to make a unique experience for everyone who played as they Loadouts were shared through all of the activities on the Infinty. Speaking of Loadouts Halo 4 seems to have a very balanced weapon sandbox making them less noticeable than everyone says they are. And the Loadouts aren't in every game mode. You want to play classic Halo just choose a different gametype than Infinty Slayer. Just vote for Legendary or Team Slayer and *boom* Your playing what you wanted from the game anyway. While they can be annoying and I don't favor them myself, they are avoidable, everyone just uses them as a excuse to hate on the game. You can not like the way the game feels, or the art style, or the fact that they replaced the multiplayer commentator. But the game is mocked far too much for what it did. Like it or don't everyone here needs to move on. The odds of 343i being able to restore Halo to what most of you want is less than likely. The franchise is going in the direction 343i wants it to go. We can only hope they will learn from the mistakes they have already claimed to have made.
