When the Xbox 360 and PS3 were announced I was ecstatic. I picked up my 360 as soon as the second shipment hit store shelves, and I was the happiest kid on the planet. The leap from the original Xbox and the PS2 to the seventh gen consoles was massive.
But now I'm kinda "meh" to the eighth generation. I dunno if it's because of the cynicism I've developed towards the video game industry or the fact that I already have a machine that has games which look and perform better than any of the launch titles.
I dunno, I'm just not feeling the "magic" this generation. Can anyone else relate?

Lack of launch titles can probably attribute to that. If CoD Ghosts and BF4 were both releasing exclusively for the next gen I'd probably be beyond pumped. I'm still picking them up but I've already played both so I'm not that excited. Aside from those 2 games I only have $5 down on DR3 and I doubt I'm going to pick that up right away. After the initial launch their are only a hanful of games I'm really looking forward to. I'm kinda looking forward to Spartan Assault because my phone get's extremely hot when I play it and it makes it un-responsive. I'm obviously looking forward to Destiny just like everyone else. Titanfall looks like it could have potential. To be completely honest the game I'm looking forward to the most is Peggle 2, it makes me question what type of gamer I've become.
