I can't believe there are people that still expect others to stay until the end of the game in pretty much any game out there nowadays. People quit all the time in just about any game I can think of. Also the only reason I can think you want them to stay would be to get more points off of them. In a game like Halo Wars it is extremely obvious when there is no possible way to win. At that point I think most people would not want to waste other people's time and as a result would just surrender or leave.

  • That's retarded, that's like being 10 points under in Halo 3 and just leaving, which almost nobody does. I've played a lot of 3 and Wars lately, and people only leave in 3 if they're getting destroyed on a 3:1 ratio, while in Wars it is more like 1,00001:1 ratio If you can't take the pain, don't play the game. I swear some people expect to win all the time

  • If you mean ranked in Halo 3 I wouldn't doubt that, but if you mean social I find that unlikely. Even then people used to leave Halo 3 games all the time back in the day. However Halo 3 you can easily change the game and make it so that you will win even with a large point difference as long as your team gets it together and gains map control. Halo Wars on the other hand if you are losing then there is very little you can do to pull it back since Halo Wars isn't really a skill based game or one that relies on constant map control. Once you have destroyed the other person's strategy or countered it then they are pretty much going to lose. Then as I stated originally I don't see the issue with them leaving since in the end it is still your win. The only reason I can see you wanting them to stay is to get the points which is pointless or to be one of those people that feels the need that they must completely crush the other team even when the outcome is already as clear as day.

  • It's not about the points, it's about playing a whole game and not just bug out the second things aren't going your way

  • There is a difference between leaving when things aren't going your way and leaving when there is no possible way to win. The latter happens a lot in Halo Wars since if all of your units get destroyed and the enemy is coming at you then there is little hope at winning. Halo Wars isn't an FPS where you can still win even if you are outnumbered. As for games like Halo 3 or just about any other FPS the former is more often to happen.
