The Halo Wars community is pretty bad

There is no sportmanship. I mean, honestly, most of the time, if someone feels like they're gonna lose, they quit. It's very rare to see someone fight to the end, which my friends and I always do. If you attack someone with a superior force, most of the time they'll just leave. Maybe 10 seconds into a confrontation, they just leave because they see they're gonna lose. The same applies if you're losing in a game with randoms. Teammates will often just quit, and it's me versus three other guys, or me and a chill teammate sticking it out. Even when you're playing with friends, if the enemy sees that you aren't resigning they will try to farm you for points. If that happens I send a msg saying that they either finish the job or I leave, and being the greedy guys that they are, I have not yet had to leave as they soon come swarming for the kill. Just won 3 games in a row, and in 2 of those we won because the enemy quit. The only reason the last ones idn't leave was because they were new to the game. I was going to post this on the waypoint halo wars forum but I'm banned for like 5000 years lol.

  • There are indeed a lot of quitters. But I know a lot of it is connection based. I played a lot of matches with my friends where me or another person just got dumped back in the lobby from the game with no warning as our connections had a hissy fit. But hey, when you look at other games nowadays, is it really a surprise that there's quitters on Halo Wars as well? I mean, the slightest hint of opposition in Halo 4 and people dropped out like flies. Match going bad in Reach? To hell with quit bans! Problems in Dark Souls with an invader? Dashboard! Personally what I like to do when it happens to me or somebody on the other team, is just make a massive army of shit units you wouldn't normally use for offense. Watching a base slowly crumble as 40 flamethrowers slowly burn it to bits is kind of hilarious. And, at the very least, it gives them a chance to fight back against one person in the opposing group.
