I really liked it. Animation needs a bit of work. Some episodes it will be choppy or there will be some inconsistencies (Episode 15), but some are smooth and polished (Episode 16). But character design, art style, character development, the fight scenes, and the soundtrack were done really well. Voice acting has certainly improved over time. Looking forward to Volume 2 :)

  • The animation problems exist because there's only a handful on animators (two, IIRC) who have to produce a full episode a week. That week also involves body acting, voice acting, setting up each and every scene, and the limitations of the program they're using, so their time invested in animating the episode in question is limited.

  • actually, they worked on all this ahead of time like most animation companies. So they didn't only have a week for each episode. But their small team and limited budget does make it hard to make everything perfect. Hopefully thing will improve next volume now that they have experience with it.
