51 minutes in. Hate it. Stupid plot development and totally unrealistic. Ghost dad who gives him a cape? Why did all of the kyrptonians leave their colonized worlds? Will finish it but so far 5.3/10

They were running out of resources on Krypton; probably resources native only to Krypton and so colonisation didn't help there. They couldn't afford to sustain a galactic empire so retreated to the homeworld and employed population control.

9/10, pretty amazing film brimming with emotion, action and a humanity I've always found Superman films lacking. Hoping Superman/Batman lives up to both individual franchises, definitely think MoS could have done with its own sequel first though.

Why the hell would they do that? They explore an entire universe and they decide to stay on a planet with limited resources? Sounds dumb

Because they'd [i]need[/i] more resources from the planet to actually get a colony going on the other planets. Zod even says the colonies all died as they were cut off from Krypton.
