Make a Destiny Mission.

We know four out of the five combatant races we'll be up against in Destiny. We've got a pretty good idea of the types of environments we'll be exploring, a good handle on the setting, the places we'll visit; we know Bungie has implied that there'll be some sort of UGC (User Generated Content) that will help add to the longevity of the game. That being said, let's say you've got all the tools and resources to fully design a mission for Destiny; for example, how in the E3/Gamescom demo the Guardians have to find a way through the wall around Old Russia. If you were going to design some sort of side-mission--a 'one shot' story for players to do--what would you create? Here's mine: I've always loved the setting of Derelict ships. I'd set the mission on a massive old human warship, now inhabited by Fallen, who have set off some sort of silent alarm on the ship that still works--something that signaled the Guardians in the Last City. Turns out there's a damn powerful nuclear warhead on that ship, and we can't let the Fallen get their slimy claws on it. You and your fireteam would fly in quietly, boarding the ship through an unused airlock near the bottom of the ship. You make your way through a maze of dark, empty hallways, and quickly realize that all is not as it seems. You start finding the corpses of Fallen littering the halls... When you reach the section of the ship that's been powered up by the Fallen, you find yourself in a hangar bay--in the midst of a battle between the last surviving Fallen and a battalion of Vex. You engage your enemies and clear the hangar. Once everyone and everything is dead, you yank the hard-drive of a high-ranking Vex unit out of its cycloptic head and have your Ghost analyze the remaining data. Your Ghost reveals that the Fallen had no idea the nuke was on board; they were simply in the process of trying to scavenge what they could from the Derelict when they came upon the Vex. The Vex had powered up the ship--and, unknowingly, the silent alarm--by the time the Fallen boarded the vessel. The Vex are on board the warship to try and recover an ancient and powerful artificial intelligence, one used by humanity before we were pushed back to the Last City. Unfortunately, being forced to sleep for so many years has made the AI a little... Malevolent. You fight your way to the command deck, encountering ancient human turrets and flying security drones as well as Vex along the way. Once you've breached the command deck, a huge, circular room with an excellent view out towards Saturn, you find the lead Vex unit initiating a hardlink with the command console--and the A.I.. The Vex has underestimated the ancient A.I., and you watch as the A.I. copies itself into the Vex's mainframe; now powered up with new firmware, as well as a dangerous eye-beam attack, you find yourself in a desperate battle against the hacked Vex. When you've finally defeated the AI and its Vex, you are rewarded with a new exotic weapon: the HAL 9000, a powerful, single-shot laser sniper rifle with the iconic Vex eye for a scope. You detonate the nuke as you and your fireteam escape the Derelict vessel, ensuring that no remnants of the ancient AI are left to find themselves into enemy hands.

 • Gates of hell: (probably one of the final missions) You are in the center of the traveler. All four (or five) enemy races are there, searching for the Traveler's most powerful technologies, and they are willing to tear each other apart to get it. You must survive the five/six way frenzy and uncover the secrets before it's too late!
