B.next's features are largely welcomed and have improved browsing to the point where other forums are a nuisance.
However, the layout and theme design leave much to be desired. Discussion seems sectioned off into "comment strains" and it feels like it's designed to be more like a social network. This benefits people who post often, but lurkers and people trying to follow discussion have a hard time mainly because of post order. The look of the old site with these features would be perfect I think.
Also, the drop in discussion quality has grown stale. The community's only as good as you make it.

I'm still holding out hope that Bungie will go 'just kidding!' and revert to the old forum style while still keeping the new features.

I will agree that the bones of Bungie.next are head and shoulders above Bungie.old. I will also agree that the skin and muscles need a fair bit of improvement. I will submit it to you, however, that the discussion quality has grown stale precisely because the surface is less-than-perfect. For example, the lack of chronological postings limits any discussion to small subtopics, rather than a thread as a whole. I think that this is perhaps Bungie's most damaging omission.

Comment Sort: Oldest First did that help Haydo?

Edited by Haydo: 8/27/2013 2:26:06 AMFor the love of all that is holy, tell me where I might find this option.
Comment Sort: Oldest First did that help Haydo?
EDIT: Found it. Better, but it only sorts the comments directly linked to the post, not the subcomments. I guess that is a good thing, since people stopped using quotes, for the most part.

That's one thing I sort of miss from the old site. I think it was a mistake to change the post order.
