Stop Blaming Your Metabolism You Clowns

The only thing that annoys me more than fat people is skinny kids that claim they're only skinny because they have a high metabolism. "I eat a lot but don't gain any weight because my metabolism is so high." If you've ever said this, and I've heard it plenty of times here, you're an idiot. No two ways about it, you clearly know nothing about fitness or nutrition. Skinny is not healthy and if you're in high school and not in some sort of workout routine stop wasting your life and have some respect for your body. The reason you're so socially awkward and foreveralone is because you look awkward. Being skinny is unattractive and makes you look uncoordinated and pathetic. Get yourself in the gym, get on a proper diet centered around building muscle and you'll definitely start to notice physical, mental, emotional, and social changes in your life.

  • Funny how the idiots call me a troll instead of giving a logical, well-thought out reply. Can't expect much from this forum though. The stupidity is through the roof.

    • In case anyone is looking for serious advice, here's what you want to do. Calculate your TDEE and eat 500kcal more than that. Otherwise if you can't be bothered just eat 3000kcal a day. You won't get fat unless you don't exercise - if you start to gain fat too quickly you can lower your caloric intake. Get the app Myfitnesspal to track calories. Good luck and have fun, eating is the worst part of bulking.

    • High metabolisms do exist, but you're absolutely right that it's no excuse. What you just described are Ectomorphs. People with ectomorph body types are "hard gainers." They are skinny, usually with small chests and thin shoulders. I'd say I'm under this category. But since the summer started I've been on a program that's yielded results I'm liking, slow and steadily. Now I'm probably not as small as some people on this site, but the program I did would likely benefit anyone trying to gain weight. I was 135 at 5'8" the start of the summer. I'm about 144 pounds now. To do this I began eating more and going to the gym AT LEAST 3 times a week. "But wombraider, I do eat a lot!!!" No you don't. Or at least, not what you should be eating. I'm no nutrition expert, but protein gets you bigger. You need to be eating lots of chicken and beef, fish if you like it. Protein powder drinks are good too. I use basic whey protein powder and drink about 1 scoop and a half after a workout. Also, you need to be drinking lots and lots of water. Before I go to bed I would eat a turkey sandwich and 2 glasses of water as well, to hold me over while I slept. That's just a basic nutrition guide. As for working out: I haven't done ANY cardio at all, literally zero. All I do is big muscle group workouts. Bicep/tricep back/chest and abs. I don't do legs because I've been a soccer player and sprinter my whole life, my legs are already big enough to support me and not look goofy even if my upper body gets larger. Also keep your workouts short, just going and pushing weight for hours on end won't get you bigger. Any workout longer than 45 minutes and you're just burning calories you need to gain weight. I haven't even been that super dedicated to my workout program, I've just been eating more and more of the right stuff. TL;DR he's right you can gain weight; no excuses Eat more beef and chicken and protein shakes Workout no longer than 45 minutes No cardio Drink water all the time

      • High Metabolism means that your body burns calories more easily. What are you so butthurt about? Who did you wrong? Maybe some people like to have the thin look, some like to be chubby and some like to buff up.

      • Well, my metabolism is the reason I'm skinny... And the fact that I typically eat healthy. And that it takes me months to eat my Halloween candy. And that I go to the gym.

        • No it also means you seriously don't gain fat fast, I even don't get sick much in a year and of course I've gained weight from growing up, but I also have a high metabolism cause my parents made us food and ate out like 10 times a year growing up.

1: Join date: 24th July. Nothing you say will be taken seriously. In the slightest. 2:
Being skinny is unattractive and makes you look uncoordinated and pathetic.
Not true in the slightest. I myself and everyone I know likes skinny people. 3: Gym don't do jack shit for people who don't want or find any reason to go. Not everyone thinks that working out is the ultimate goal in life, or even a gateway to anything substantial. Yeah, you can lift things and chug protein drinks. Big woop. And don't say "it gets you girls". Not everyone cares about "getting girls" as much as you kind of people do, because chances are they're nothing more than shallow relationships for those who feel so insecure that they need big muscles to gain attention because they can't get it any other way. It's not impressive, it's sad, and so is people like you trash talking others who are quite satisfied the way they are. Attractiveness is more than just flexing muscles and being able to lift some metal, and that kind of attitude wins you no admirers outside of people of the same insecurity.

              • Metabolisms, except when an individual has some sort of serious medical issue, vary only 400-500 calories at most, I think. The "fast metabolism" claim is poopy-nonesense.

                • Well then what reasons do you suggest for people like me who cannot gain muscle mass (yes they can work out and slowly get much stronger, but not really create much more muscle tissue), and who stay rather thin regardless of what they eat, and who commonly lack a feeling of being full after eating a meal?
