Why do anime fans get so butthurt and defensive...
...When someone just says the word cartoon? Seriously, they will go to great lengths and details to prove them wrong. Who gives a shit if someone calls it a cartoon?
Just reading the comments on the video made me sick inside.

Anime is just a medium for visual storytelling. So are cartoons, so is live action, so is stop-motion, so is CGI, so are sock puppets. If the story is a good one and the presenter chooses a method that fits how they want to visually tell the story? As long as the story, plot, characters, etc. is properly done, the medium is the creators choice and decision.
