Why do anime fans get so butthurt and defensive...
...When someone just says the word cartoon? Seriously, they will go to great lengths and details to prove them wrong. Who gives a shit if someone calls it a cartoon?
Just reading the comments on the video made me sick inside.

The same reasons fans of anything become defensive about something they are passionate about. Just other peoples opinions of any genre they do not like will raise hackles.
