tracking stats
Will destiny track stats, like head shots and stuff? Also will it rank players for PvP? Basically will it come with all the extra services that previous halo titles came with and possibly more?
Will we have a theatre mode D: !?
Ranked matches? :D thoughts?

i love when games track EVERYTHING, kind of like Borderlands2. its fun to see how many headshots you have, your distance traveled, assists, quests completed, the highest fall to your death lol All that stuff makes it so much more interesting and opens the door to rewards and achievements. Grats you have killed 9000 Fallen! here IS a new gun/skill point/ or a mount/speeder! MORE STATS MORE FUN!!!!!!!!

7 RepliesKnowing bungie, yea there will be stat tracking. Theater would only be needed for 360 and ps3 since next gen will have tools for gameplay recording last I knew. Hmm I kind of hope we don't have ranked matches in destiny...by ranked I mean everyone starts with same loadout/weapons...because that would defeat the rpg/customization elements.

They did it with Halo, so I see no reason for them NOT to do it for Destiny.

1 ReplyThey have to track stats. They said they would for the purposes of public area matchmaking. But they've got to throw in some random factor so you don't always end up around people just like you. Of course I imagine you could meet in the City in some pickup bar, exchange stats and go on a play date...

Edited by BlessedSeraph: 6/21/2013 3:39:40 PMThere will always be people who argue about K/D in lobbies, and that gets annoying pretty quickly. I'd prefer it if the game did track your stats, but you could toggle the visibility to: Self/Friends/Everyone.

If we get stats of any kind I can only presume that it will track our kills of the enemy like the Fallen I really hope we don't have any ranked matches. I've had enuff of that in Halo Theater mode is not being talked about at this time according to Joe Staten. Meaning: I think they are not releasing any info on it at this time. No decision has been made as far as we know. I know this is a FPS, but I really hope it is nothing like Halo. I enjoyed the hell out of Halo, but I feel for me it's time to move to the next level of FPS's...TEAM WORK and enjoying the game with frends

Pretty sure, they showed off that 'umbilical' phone app to keep you up on Destiny goings-ons, so I'm sure they'll track kills.

So far none of us know any of this. All i know is that there will be PvP but all the other stuff is most likely yes. They have all said they arnt releasing any of this info yet.
