Exo species

We all know there are going to be three races in Destiny: Human, Awoken, and Exo. We all know what humans are, as they have appeared in quite a few videogames before Destiny. Awoken seem to me to be the next human evolution. But what are the Exo? Are they robots, cyborgs, AI constructs? My personal opinion is that they are enhanced cyborgs, but what are your opinions?

  • This reminds me of something I read last week about a Russian Tycoon who believes we will be able to achieve immortality. Check out the link above for more about this idea^ "Russian multimillionaire Dmitry Itskov predicts that the human race will achieve immortality within 25 years as a result of minds being transferred into computers, and that robot bodies capable of housing human brains could even be available by 2025." Now imagine this idea many years in the future where we have this ability to its full potential. Exo's could possibly be some of the strongest guardians who we could not afford to lose. Exo have been described by Bungie as "sinister, powerful, and tireless." In terms of player design, Bungie drew its inspiration for the Exo from such sources as the Master Chief, The Terminator, and the undead. - http://destinypedia.wikia.com/wiki/Exo I am intrigued by the Exo's and their place in the Destiny Universe.

    • Now, I'm not hating on Dmitry, but when all of us humans are 25 years older and we all synthesize with computers there's going to be a problem: Reproduction, how do we make babies with computer bodies? (Please don't try an explain that question's answer) Just saying that by removing our mental state from our bodies and putting them in machines will make every human's fitness in evolution become zero. A.k.a: No sexual reproduction= no more humans

      • Yeah the article actually covers the reproduction thing. Something about how when the wealthiest of humans combine with computers/robotics they will find humanity inferior. Therefore eliminating mankind.
