PS4 because of Planetside 2, Destiny, Driveclub and possibly Killzone; the Eye isn't required at all, I like the social system they presented and it's $100 cheaper than the Xbox 1.
NOTE: This comment was edited because of Microsoft's change of plans for the Xbox 1 and some of the points became invalid and I apologize to those that didn't like the thing I put in the original comment about PS4 being a true gaming console. I cut that out and edited my remarks to fit the PS4 better after the changes after E3. Thank you.

How do you get from the video that it wasn't for games? Are you mental? They saved all their game stuff for e3. They even said they were going to do that.

Ugh hey I let you in on a little secret...all PS3 games are blueray. You know why? Cause blueray can hold a shit ton more data than dvd. Thats why on 360 you get games that are separated into multiple discs cause the dvds couldnt hold the memory and on PS3 each game is a single disc.

They talked some about games but primarily about TV and what great things the Xbox can do with TV. They edited their stance because of so much criticism and because Sony was making a primarily gaming console. (with less stress on TV and people using that option)

And at E3 PS4 had 30 minutes of talk about tv apps and things like that, so i guess it isn't a gaming console. I guess the gaming comes second after all the tv apps and things. And i guess the PS3 wasn't a gaming console. Sony bragged on and on about the blue ray player it had. It's such a stupid argument. People already knew what the X1 could do with gaming, they gave us the specs, thats all we needed. People would still buy the X1, because they know it was a gaming console. They talked about the TV applications to capture a different audience. Which they did, now they have the audience of gamers and TV people, while the PS4 has more of only gamers. All the did was expand their market. Only people that were looking wrong for something with the console said it isn't a gaming console at heart.

30 min of tv apps out of over 2 hours totally equates to the X1's almost entire reveal on tv about their product.

Considering PS4 did that at E3, you know the place about games, it does. Xbox did it at the console reveal, not E3. Big difference.

No not really. Considering E3 isnt exclusively about games. At X1's reveal they showed me that they are revealing a highly expensive voice controlled tivo that I can still change inputs using a remote.

Ok ok ill dis regard all that then. Why were people mad when they revealed the Xbox, and didn't show games? The reveal isn't just about games. It was about the console, and they talked about the console. See how this goes? It can go the same way for both.

Ugh lets see, the device is established as a console. Everyone wanted to hear the gaming tech. You think casual users will be tuning in on the reveal of tech? No. Gamers were tuned in and wanted to see a game console; not an over priced way to change inputs on the tv. Casual users start to know about the device in reviews, word of mouth and during the time its coming out. To many people saw the reveal as a way of saying "Hey we got the new console here, but games are kind of the side focus of the device. Right now we're working on making it your cable box that can be controlled with your voice!". They did show games at E3 but Microsoft would have been better off to show off the other features at another time, not the reveal.

Why did everyone want only the gaming tech? It was a reveal, not a gaming focused event. Just like you said that E3 isn't all about games, so that is why PS4 was ok to reveal 30 minutes of tv and movie and music apps. Because E3 isn't only about games. The reveal wasn't only about games. Now do you see what i'm saying?

Are you understanding what I am saying? Microsoft had a VERY tv focused reveal that made many people feel that the device's first focus was not games. Gamers wanted to see something focused on gaming with some added features. At E3 thats what Sony did. A very game focused presentation with a lil "It can also do this!" while Xbox One's reveal was "Television, television, television, sports, sports, sports. Oh and it also plays games.". People who tuned into to the Xbox's reveal were people who expected it doing something about games and instead they got tv, sports, oh and Activision's next skin change.

Xbox One was first and foremost a gaming console. All the other stuff was added in.

then why did they, first and foremost, talk about TV TV TV TV, and fantasy football? As a gamer, when I saw the ps4 reveal, that was exciting. During the xbone reveal, i minimized the stream and went back to my wacom tablet.

Because everyone already knows the Xbox is a gaming console. Why have a an hour and a half conference about saying "Alright, the Xbox One plays games!". They showed off the consoles other capabilities as well.

The decision to have Microsoft's conference a few weeks before E3 was not a random one. At the consoles REVEAL, they will show off the hardware, what it is capable of doing, the controller, etc. At E3, they showed off the GAMES. Which is primarily what E3 is for.

I know, but the PS4 is more committed to gaming by using every piece of software on the console for games instead of just over half of it's power and software used for games (XB1).
