I thought every gun you get from loot is unique and random anyway, even if it's the same gun. they were on about how the weapons were made in chunks so that parts could be seperately generated in loot. Maybe it's the same with the upgrade tree, some parts may be different to someone else that has the same gun.

  • I hope so. This is what they did with the original borderlands and because of that, there is just infinite replay value because there is always a new gun to find.

  • Ya but unlike borderlands I really hope there is more modularity with the guns resulting in a vastly superior number of looks/styles. Borderlands has many different guns but after a time you realize the models are all about like 100 different styles. I was personally hoping that the modularity meant we could find guns in Destiny, take them apart and recombine them, possibly doing so based on some pre-selected stats that we chose favoring certain technological prowess in something like pistols, or heavy design etc. But that might be too MMO.

  • Maybe, but it would be BADASS. I agree, there weren't enough models in BL, but it still had a lot of variety in the guns themselves.
