The Hulk alone is enough to defeat Superman. You can't stop the Hulk.

And yet, he has nothing to counter being tossed into the Sun.
-
And yet Thor can and has. So has Dr. Strange. And it's been stated that the Juggernaut would have beaten him in World War Hulk if Hulk hadn't sent him into that lake. Superman's strength is infinite. Hulk's, however, is merely limitless. He can keep getting stronger and stronger, but he'll never reach infinity. You can't reach infinity by repeatedly adding one.
-
Who said Superman's strength is infinite? My understanding was that he may be powerful, but he would tire eventually if faced with a long battle against an opponent at his own level.
-
He's lifted a book with infinite pages.
-
Theoretically, so can I. If the first page is 1 pound and each page is one-tenth of the previous page, I'll end up lifting a book that is 1.111... pounds (excluding the weight of the covers). I know I'm nitpicking, but it isn't out of the question. Besides, wasn't Captain Marvel lifting it too? Perhaps he's the one with the infinite strength and Superman's contribution did practically nothing.
-
What? If every page has mass and there are an infinite amount then it's still going to add up to infinite mass even if they decrease in mass by one tenth for each page infinitely.
-
1 1.1 1.11 1.111 and so on. the total mass of all the pages is never higher than 1.2 pounds.

Well then. My nitpicking is still plausible. :P

I need to read that story and it might not be canon anymore since nu52. Thats bullshit impossible. If his strength increases with the more sunlight he recieves, and hes in his 30s he shouldnt have infinite strength. Remember he started off with the strength of a normal human and it came to godlike levels as he grew up under the yellow sun. Even if 1,000,000,000 years pass with him living on earth his strength would increase to unimaginable levels but still not be infinite. I havent read that story you mention but Im willing to bet it couldve been magic or some other force that helped him lift it. CM was also lifting it so Im willing to bet magic was involved. Or it could work like thors hammer. Where its not strength but some specific quality or worth of the person who can lift it.

Edited by Lord Keksworth: 4/22/2013 2:52:45 AMUltraman, who is equal to Superman in every way other than being evil, later lifted it on his own. Superman could do the same.
-
And thats why it sounds like bullshit. What story is that, I need to verify if magic or some other power or unseen outside force was involved because that doesnt make sense. It couldve worked something like thor's hammer. Not worth exactly but it must be something like that. Otherwise whoever wrote that story really loves pulling shit out of his ass.

Is the Juggernaut stronger than the Hulk or is it due to Jugg's armor?
-
The Juggernaut's not stronger in a traditional sense. Once he gets momentum, he becomes an unstoppable force thanks to his magic. The magic says "The Juggernaut cannot be stopped" so that quite literally equates to him being unstoppable once he starts going.
-
Juggernaut is theoretically stronger and completely unstoppable. His only real drawback is that if he really gets going not even he can stop himself.
