Am I the only one...
...who gets most of his news from either BNet or sites like Imgur and Reddit? It's too much to keep up with cable news channels in between all the commentary and not-news. I can be surfing YouTube and just pop over to BNet for 30 seconds, go to the Flood, and see 2-3 news stories that it would've taken an hour and a half to cover on CNN, Fox, or MSNBC.
So, is anyone else like this? If not, where do you get your news? Check that poll for answering purposes and leave a response explaining why.

Edited by Bistromathics: 4/9/2013 12:03:19 AMI used to count Reddit as a news source, then my honeymoon period ended. /r/worldnews thinks Israel is Literally Hitler, /r/politics thinks Republicans are Literally Hitler, /r/technology thinks DRM is Literally Hitler, etc. The only person that [i]isn't[/i] Literally Hitler is, literally, Hitler. And the upvote/downvote system makes sure that content that's easily consumed (pictures, sensationalist headlines) is what rises to the top. Still, with all the different subreddits, it's hard to talk about the site as one community. Reddit is nice for random, non-political stuff. /r/android for Android news, /r/gamernews for gaming etc. Anyways, lol. Headlines come from anywhere online: NYT, Wall Street Journal, NPR, CNN, it doesn't really matter. Major news is the same everywhere. Most news analysis comes from the websites of thinktanks or magazines, like Brookings and The Economist.

The only news that I find out about from bnet is the random stories from around the world. All the important news I find out from cable news and various online sites.

2 RepliesI use Google News. If the event is at all major, there's several articles from several sources for it and it's organized and easy to follow.

B.net and reddit. Reddit pretty much includes everything since it links to almost anything ever.
