Nice post. I would like multiple currencies for factions in Destiny that fluctuate like a real economy.

How would that work? The reason that there are multiple currencies in the real world is because there are multiple different countries. In Destiny everyone will most likely be living in the last great City so there would be no need to complicate the whole currency system with several different currencies.

Edited by Guardian: 3/30/2013 4:45:15 AMFactions would have to invest in currencies, ammo, weapons, and armor for Guardians. Meanwhile, Guardians would not manage the flow of money instead they would carry out tasks equal to the payout of whatever the price is of the item they require in Destiny. Completing a challenge such as a bounty is a good example to guide both the economy and ranking system of the game. Payments will be made based on the time and work spent at a location for certain objectives as well as medals earned. So lets say (I'll use my faction for example) if new monarchy isn't killing enough enemies of a certain type in Destiny I can travel where they need me. I would complete the task given to me then receive payment and also rank up. The fallen will advance and recede at different places in Destiny. Based on the amount of fallen killed in an area will determine the territorial ownership of the factions while also increasing or decreasing the different currencies. Make sense? Good.
