You'll know what I'm talking about if you've played Skyrim. Menial Labor to achieve gold. Wood cutting, Mining and the obligatory rolling of the log into the wood cutter. When I was playing Skyrim my mind went " Oh a missed opportunity." Here was a perfect mechanic to increase the character's muscular build and increase Stamina.
So here might be a chance to place in a marker for Rpging in Destiny and how our characters progress physically and grow more hardened for combat by whatever task the city has running to make currency in short order without being shot at.
EVE online totes being this incredible space ship war simulator when really it should be asteroid Mining and back stabbing 101. So what kind if horrible back breaking work should be incorporated into Destiny for all the players who'd rather carve some coal for cash than being shot at and ending up some Alien's dinner?
Your thoughts on the RPG grinding?

I think Bungie is going to stay away from any of the hardcore (MMO)RPG menial tasks. They have completely avoided MMO, and if at all, haven't used RPG much either. They say the game plays like Halo. I picture this to be a fast paced shooter, with customizations, weapons, and social systems similar to that of RPGs. However as far as grinding is concerned, anything which is simply a time dump, with a button or two to be pressed, will not be included. They want to appeal to their hardcore fan-base. By including something which offers advantages to a player, based off of no skill, will do nothing but frustrate their players. I know when I play this game I'll want to do absolutely everything. If I'm missing out of something in an FPS because I don't want to watch my player work, well that's not the ideal experience Bungie wants to offer.
