The term coined by Bungie is "[google]Shared-World Shooter[/google]", or SWS for short.

Well, yes, but to ignore the clearly implied RPG elements is silly. Shared-World Shooter implies no RPG elements at all.
-
Maybe there aren't RPG elements? Just because you find better guns, and just because you can customize your class does not make it an RPG...
-
They're distinctly not traditional shooter elements. And I'm talking about armor customization, not class customization.

Edited by Malfar: 2/23/2013 5:42:13 AMWith Bungie coining the phrase SWS, it can imply anything, and I believe in this case it does imply RPG. Whatever Destiny is, will be what a SWS defines, from here on out any game called an SWS will be compared to Destiny, the original SWS. Be Proud, your witnessing the birth of a genre, you'll be able to tell your grandkids, you played the first ever Shared-World Shooter.

My helicopter goes sws sws sws sws. Sorry had too. On topic though Bungie creating a new genre in a world of stagnated ideas is truly impressive. I cannot wait for destiny!
