I think it should be based on how well you play. Bad players get stuck with iron sights, players who do slightly better get bronze sights, the good players get silver sights, and the really good players get gold sights. That way it encourages people to play better.
Who can complain with that?

Sounds like a very creative idea. Something I have defiantly never seen in any game of course. Maybe it's about time a game does it. I'd fully approve of it if it was in destiny.
