What is the point of pre-ordering a game over a year in advance of an undefined release date? I'm picking up this game no matter what, but the only way I'm laying out some cash now is for a limited edition that could potentially sell out.

All the Ghost editions are sold out and most Limited editions are aswell. Looking for limited editions? Go here: http://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HubArticleView?hubId=208291&articleId=208292&catalogId=10201&langId=44&storeId=10151

Edited by Kelnøzz: 2/19/2013 8:18:08 PMWhat I don't understand is what is the point in pre-ordering on the X360 when the next gen consoles will most likely be out when they release Destiny...

Because putting five dollars down now, especially if you're going to get it anyway, is worth the poster.

Since I already have $ down I can upgrade to a limited with just a phone call (practically ensuring my copy) and if I end up not wanting the game I can get my money back from the store and keep my poster.

Edited by EZ: 2/19/2013 6:47:58 PMFor the the thrill and excitement of it! Yeah we don't know a lot, but we did it as fans with faith. Also it wasn't a lot to do and we can upgrade or cancel the orders if we really need to. I will be upgrading mine when more info and editions or Next-Gens are announced probably. Also we got a nifty poster that looks really sweet on my wall.
