Meh, I prefer something like this: The Last Question.
Kinda makes you think and it very interesting. A read definitely worth the time.

Man, I love that story.

Edited by Sven: 2/16/2013 11:09:50 PMOf course you prefer it. It's Isaac Asimov, a master of the genre. I post these 'amateur' shorts to sustain a weekly/daily, free, series of threads for the group. I will, however, post more master works in the coming weeks. If you have some saved, send them to me.

I also have my own short science fiction story if you're interested.

Edited by Sven: 2/17/2013 12:33:06 AMYeah. Join the group and post it in there. I will, in turn, post 'Community Science Fiction Shorts' threads. Hopefully Destiny fan fiction will be on the rise after the reveal.

Alrighty, no problem!

Ha yes, that is very true... I could try to look for more. I have another piece, but it isn't a short story - an excerpt from the Xeelee Sequence that chronicles the Big Bang in Planck Time and Scale, though it could be a short story of its own in my opinion. Also a well written piece.

Now THAT was an awesome read. Thank you for sharing that.

No problem! It's definitely one of my favorites and has such a huge impact at the end. Truly brilliant science fiction.
