The hospital had every angle if liability covered though. Think of it this way, they were certainly keeping on eye on your family.

True, just the nurse messed up pretty big. The other/regular nurses know my son's heart rate patterns and they've never called or woken us up. Idk just couldn't have been prevented.

Indeed it could have been prevented, but at least you know she follows protocol and would have taken good care of your son! It was just a pain in the ass
