This is why I love Bungie

So roughly two weeks ago, this guy made a post on Reddit about his son who had just had a liver transplant. He was looking to contact the Bungie Foundation to help make the kid smile once he was on the road to recovery. Here's the original post on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/162t3x/bungie_foundation/ Urk saw the reddit post and well: http://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/16x2kx/thank_you_bungie_my_sons_transplant_surgery_and/ <3 Bungie

  • Truly awesome for Bungie to do this. I'm always amazed at no matter the current state of their work with screaming fans, they can always take the time to make important steps in a child's life. Also, subtle references are always present in these things. Sometimes I wonder if Bungie still does this to see if people are paying attention. • Dear Christ Bungie are just too awesome... It's just sad that they're the only company who cares so much. Treyarch? Infinity Ward? EPIC? 343i? Nnnnaaaaahhh, money, mate! Pathetic, but Bungie is just a massive inspiration to everyone. They are what everyone should aspire to be. <3

      • Bungie gives me hope for the future of gaming and humanity. Maybe they really should dominate the world... But yeah, that right there? Kick, ass. Almost makes me want to go to hospital. I wish that kid good health and I'll be jealous as hell of him when he gets out with all that stuff...

      • Awesome story. And I got a kick out of this comment:
That's not transplant surgery. That's spartan augmentation.
Wow, that's really touching. It's great to see how happy they were able to make the kid, and that helmet is a very cool gift for Bungie to give.

Here's hoping their soul doesn't get sucked out through the various years in the gaming world. It'd be a shame to see the company turn into something like one of the current big companies out there, such as EA. Also, funny enough, remember when EA used to be about, "Challenge everything?"
