Nerfing all the good options in the game, making them barely weak enough to be unviable. You’re doing that, so if people want to have viable gear, they just HAVE to buy this new DLC of yours!
It’s such a scummy strategy. Nerfing all our good options, so our gameplay will suck unless we drop £90 for gear that’s usable. This game is becoming very Pay-To-Win very fast.
-
Yeah if they didn't spend the last month dropping free, raid-tier loot on our faces, I might be inclinced to agree with you lmao.
-
Yeah! You tell'em! I'll just keep using my Free to Play best in slot edge transit.
-
Sadly we have yet to see the big nerfs, should happen this week or next Well Banner of war Lucky pants

If somebody got into Destiny when the F2P era started and never spent a dime since, they'd still have access to viable gear.

You say this like we didn't just get a free update, available to all players, filled to the brim with some of the strongest weapons in d2 history.

Edited by The2ndWave: 5/18/2024 10:08:41 PMOf course they know exactly what they’re doing. They’re installing life support with AED to this dead game so they can milk you dry as a mummified corpse!🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!
-
This is too funny 😂

I never rally thought of it like this and yo raise some good points…but on the other hand, woukd it be better to have the same stuff be strong / the new stuff be as strong as the old stuff? I think it would be kinda boring to have new stuff be on par…maybe nerf it back to parity after a while but for the sake of fun, id day new always has to be stonger

Idk what nerfs you're complaining about specifically but they're always doing this. Bungie has a terrible approach to build/weapon balance. An approach you would expect for balance would be to strive towards a point where everything is close to, or at, a certain balance baseline, for convenience lets say this baseline is "100". If something is performing far above this baseline, you would tune it down to like 80-90 for a period, so that players who have gotten too comfortable will have an incentive to branch out, and then you buff it back up little by little until it seems balanced. If you think something is at the baseline but it sees far more use than anything else (could be due to ease of use or build synergy or whatever) then you slowly tune it down by small decrements until its use approaches normal values. This is at least how I would expect someone to handle balance issues in a multiplayer game. The only thing that Bungie hates more than their players, however, is variety. If something is too widely used (at least for hunters and warlocks) they nuke it from orbit. Instead of aiming for the 100 baseline, if a build is performing too well they send it down to 10 and pretend like it never existed from then on. This approach, as I think most people could have predicted, sucks. Instead of increasing build/weapon choice variety, players just trickle over to the next best thing and the cycle continues. I'm honestly not entirely sure why Bungo does it this way, but I do have some $$$peculative idea$$$. Maybe it's too much to expect a healthy approach to game balance from a game with a quadruple-A price tag and a company that supposedly has a billy in the bank.

I don't know what the shake up is, removing all the gun mods like for heavy, primary etc. Apparently the buff them at the same time to compensate but still also of weapons still suff
-
Once upon a time, when Destiny 2 was merely weeks from dying, Bungie launched the Go-Fast update but know they're reverting it back with this Go-Slow changes. Conclusion? They never learn with their past mistakes.
-
The funny thing is , they made a big deal about Shaxx bringing up our most powerful weapons to fight the witness I guess Shaxx changed his mind , he has bi-polar , which is obvious to anyone who has ever killed another player in there super in crucible
-
Bungie knowing what they are doing? Like that’s ever going to happen!
-
They did not nerf all the good options😭😭
-
We’re ignoring the buffs?
-
Most of these nerfs are so miniscule that I really cant understand why Bungie chose to do them. Was an extra 2/3% damage from guns really going to break gameplay and was it worth angering players just as they are feeling in a better place game wise?
-
Sounds like Bungie! Bungie, Bungie never changes!

Edited by The Hermit IX: 5/19/2024 1:17:38 AMThey buffed more things than they nerfed. I think we can all survive Lament losing 29% healing lol. They didn’t nerf all the good things so all you’re doing is looking for negative attention from the lowest common denominator. Get a grip and see you day one of FS.
-
Always been pay to win tbh more like pay to play how have people not realized that
-
What good options? Lament? Divinity? Yeah those are totally used options. Yall are babies
-
When you think of all the countless hours players have put into this game to grind out rolls only to have the weapons nerfed, it is a kick in the proverbial, totally disrespectful of player's time.

Edited by Tis-but-a-scratch: 5/18/2024 10:12:08 PMWhat does the newest greatest phone do? What about the 2025 model of a new car. How about a fridge, a TV, gaming chair, etc. Not saying I agree, but it’s what every business does. It’s how they feed the addiction and we become our own enablers.
-
Yeah first they give all this free stuff and asked weapons back, bring sunset gear back and than nerf everything… The circle continues and I’m wondering why players are still surprised…
-
They nerfed a bunch if irrelevant exotics. Are we really crying over this -blam!- lol
-
They know EXACTLY what they're doing, they always have. They're like the Reapers from Mass Effect, except they kill fun instead of the population. They introduce a kick -Blam!- weapon, we work our butts off to get it, we have fun with it. Bungie allows that fun to grow. We help our friends get it, we have fun with it together. They allow our fun to grow, to evolve, advance. And when our enjoyment with the weapon reaches its apex, Bungie destroys it. No matter how much of our fun they take away, it's never enough. This stream of nerfs might be a bit much, but make no mistake. Bungie is going to want more.

Edited by gracklepod: 5/18/2024 11:14:38 PMIt's the same old Bungie philosophy...market blitz the new junk, nerf the old junk, create fomo and the sheeple will follow. TFS, Marathon and D3( if they go that route) will be the same BS
