You know whisper mission being back has just reminded me that our guardian has made a pact with a wormgod (that is still active) and it has never once come up
Personally I would say that is kind of a big deal, especially considering how well guardians getting friendly with the hive has worked out in the past, but apparently it isn't.
Honestly making a pact with Savathuns worm has had a bigger impact on the story

We didn't really make a pact, Xol just gets more powerful every time we use Whisper, which the Guardian does solely out of their love for loot (which EVERYONE has commented on at some point). I think Xol could come back post-final shape as more powerful, and potentially leading the other worm gods.

Xol gave up Nokkris as he saw we were stronger, and tempted us into Finding his New Form which if wielded by us...a god slaying a##H###, Xol would be feed forever. Xol had the Knowlege to Transend Death and be Reborn. Edit: There is also no Pact with Sav's Worm either. The Worm wanted to live in Mara, but Mara made a Bargen, which the Worm was tricked so Mara made a Chamber that would constantly keep feeding it, thus keeping it alive. The Bargen was upheld, as the worm lives to this day. The Pact would be if Xol planted a worm within us that was directly tied to him. Same as Sav's Worm.

We've also made pacts with ahemkara, hive gods and probably a few other being I'm forgetting about.

It’s the details of the pact that matter. An agreement in and of itself doesn’t mean anything. The conditions and rules are what matter. That’s why it’s ignored. What was the pact? We spared the Worm and made it into a gun so that it could continue to live and we get a slice of the profits when we use it. So what impact does that truly have? That’s how normal guns work, except we get the power gained in full. So really, using Whisper doesn’t confer any bonuses to us and only benefits the low worm. Making it a trinket, not a plot device.
